THE ARTIST
Dave Sherman has been snapping pictures for 55 years. He began at the early age of 8 with his first camera, a Kodak Brownie camera.
Dave was born and raised in Brockton, MA, served in the Army for three years in the early 1960's and retired from the US government after 35 years of service. In all that time he never gave up on his love of photography.
With the advent of digital photography, Dave easily made the transition to that media. “When major camera companies stop producing film cameras, the writing is on the wall. Digital is here to stay.”
Dave has decided to share his photography with the world. His traditional photographs show the beauty that he sees in his world. He then took his photography one step further.
A love of computers combined with the love of photography led Dave to research the possibilities of building beautiful abstract photo prints from photos of common objects. This process has instilled in him a greater appreciation of the world of art.
Dave resides in Greenfield, MA and exhibits his work locally.
He is now working on his on-line presence.
